1. Who we are

RankPresence is a product of Atticus Labs. RankPresence ("we", "us", "our") is a Google Maps competitor analysis tool operated at rankpresence.com. We help local business owners understand their ranking and visibility among nearby competitors on Google Maps.

2. Information we collect

When you use RankPresence, we may collect the following information:

• Business name and location — entered by you to perform a search
• Device type — mobile or desktop, detected automatically
• Payment information — processed securely by Zoho Payments. We do not store your card or UPI details
• WhatsApp number — if provided voluntarily during payment, used only to deliver your report
• Usage data — search queries, timestamps, and general analytics to improve the product

We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information unless you provide it voluntarily.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate and deliver your competitor analysis report
• Process your one-time payment securely
• Improve our search accuracy and product quality
• Understand usage patterns to fix bugs and add features
• Communicate with you about your report if needed

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data sources

The competitor data shown in your report is sourced directly from Google Maps at the time of your search using the Google Places API. This includes business names, review counts, star ratings, and location data — all of which is publicly available on Google Maps.

We do not scrape, store, or resell any proprietary Google data beyond what is permitted under Google's Terms of Service.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Zoho Payments, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. When you pay, your payment details go directly to Zoho — we never see or store your card or UPI information.

We store only the outcome of the transaction (success or failure) and the amount paid, linked to your search record.

6. Data storage

Your search data and report are stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS). We retain your report data for up to 12 months, after which it may be deleted. Your report URL remains accessible as long as the data is retained.

7. Cookies

RankPresence does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We use browser localStorage only to temporarily store your report data between the payment step and the report page — this data is cleared immediately after use.

8. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Places API — to fetch business and competitor data
• Zoho Payments — to process payments
• Supabase — to store search and report data

Each of these services has their own privacy policy and data handling practices.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of data we hold about your searches
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of any future communications

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of RankPresence after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
